Ship-to-Ship (STS) Transfers
Joy Radiators Limited facilitates safe and efficient ship-to-ship (STS) fuel and cargo transfers between vessels at sea or at anchorage along the Nigerian coast. STS operations are a critical part of the Nigerian petroleum supply chain, allowing cargo to move from larger mother vessels to smaller distribution tankers without port entry — saving time, reducing costs, and improving supply flexibility.
Our STS operations are conducted in accordance with OCIMF STS Transfer Guidelines and applicable Nigerian maritime regulations. We coordinate all logistics from the initial vessel position agreement through to post-transfer documentation, ensuring every operation is conducted safely and on schedule.
The STS operation was completed ahead of schedule. JR's team was professional, safety-conscious and communicated clearly throughout the entire process.

Safety & Compliance
All JR Limited STS operations follow a formal pre-transfer safety meeting between both vessel masters. We maintain full compliance with MARPOL regulations for spill prevention. Spill response equipment is on standby for every operation, and all transfers are conducted with a dedicated JR operations representative present throughout.
We operate at Lagos outer anchorage and other anchorage locations across Nigerian waters. For specific locations, contact us to discuss feasibility and logistics based on your vessel's position and schedule.
We coordinate STS transfers primarily for petroleum products including AGO, HFO, MGO, and crude oil derivatives. Each product type requires specific equipment and safety protocols which we confirm at the planning stage.
Yes. We can arrange for an independent marine surveyor to attend the transfer for quantity and quality measurement, ullage surveys, and certification. This is recommended for high-value cargo transfers and is available on request.
